Of all the locations for Spring Photo Tours in Japan, Mt. Fuji is always at the top of the list.  Our Japan Dreamscapes (JDS) Expert photo tour leader, has been to Fujisan more times than he can count, and he’s looking forward to going at least as many more times to photograph the natural splendor that is arguably the most famous Japanese tourist and photography destination.

Our JDS Photo Tour Leader know that every adventure at Mt. Fuji on a Japan Photo Tour comes with different elements.  Even if he replicated every part of his photo adventure: the location, the camera, the angle, and the time of day that the photos would still be different.  This is part of the magic that is photography and why it is

a medium of the visual arts.  So many features thought seemingly identical while photographing change the experience.  The light as it caresses Japan’s Iconic Peak will always be slightly different.  From one moment to the next so many elements vary that you will never take the same picture of Mt. Fuji.  You won’t have to want your photography to be different, it naturally will be.

Case in point, while on a recent Japan Photo Tour, our head JDS Photo Workshop Leader took the photo attached to this blog.  He mentioned that he had seen clouds wrapped around the base of Mt. Fuji before, but nothing quite like the day he snapped this photo.  For this particular photo, he was using a Nikon D810 with a 14-24 mm lens his settings: 10 sec f16,  ISO 100 with his Gitzo tripod.

No matter if you are visiting Mt. Fuji for the first time or you have many trips under your belt, JDS will make sure that you have a photo tour, unlike one that you’ve experienced before.  Off the beaten path is JDS’s specialty, and we invite you to explore Mt. Fuji on a Spring Photo Tour with us.
