This time of year is always one of reflection at Japan Dreamscapes (JDS).  Between December 25th and January 1st or 2nd, all the Japan Photo Tour Leaders take stock of what kind of year they’ve had while out with clients and the best course of action for the following year.

The highlights this year were many, but one part of Japan, a large, stately part of Japan, kept coming to the forefront.  During the Summer Japan Photo Tour to Nikko, Hakone, and the Chureito Pagoda, Mt. Fuji yielded the most breathtaking photos for both client and Japan Photo Workshop Leader.  During the autumn, Mt. Fuji feature prominently again during the November Autumn Leaves Mt. Fuji Photo Tour.  Weather conditions were not ideal, but one glorious blue hour made for some once in a lifetime photos.

Now, we at JDS are getting ready for the tour at the beginning of February.  Hokkaido Photo Tours are calling our lead photo workshop guide, and he’ll be off fighting thunder snow and checking weather charts to maximize time spent with Hokkaido’s wildlife: Sika Deer, Ezo Red Foxes, Whooper Swans, and The Steller’s Sea Eagle among others.

We’re also relishing the idea of finding new locations for Cherry Blossom Photo Tours when spring arrives.  Our JDS Photo Workshop Leaders are always exploring to create new adventures for clients.  2020 will be no different!

We hope you are celebrating and enjoying your end of the year, and if you want to spend some time before 2020’s winter holiday with JDS, we’ll be here waiting for your email!
