The Steller’s Sea Eagle is one such species. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has categorized the Steller’s Sea Eagles as ‘vulnerable’. The eagles acclimated to sub-arctic temperatures so climate change is having an impact on their access to their favorite prey. Warmer waters means less fish. However, several positive impacts are being made because in China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan the Steller’s Sea Eagle is a protected species, so when joining a JDS Hokkaido Photo Tour, it’s possible to see a congress on Sea Eagles on the pack ice enjoying what seems to be an in depth conversation.
