Happy Holidays from Japan Dreamscapes! Everyone on the JDS team is hoping for open borders and safe travels for all of our family, friends, and clients in 2022. Frankly, we’ve had enough social distancing and Covid-19 to last a lifetime. We’re hoping that in early 2022, Japan Dreamscapes photography workshop adventures will resume with the Hokkaido Wildlife Photo Workshop in February, and we’re prepared to ‘make due’ with the situations that the continued pandemic will bring.
Our lead photography workshop instructor, Blain Harasymiw, is exploring dozens of islands in Japan’s southern chain with his family. Latitudinally long at over 3,000 km and 6,852 islands to explore, Blain and our team will never run out of islands to explore. While scouting, we prefer to camp with temperatures between 18°C during the day and 8°C in the evening. On top of that, in the location where Blain will be in the souther islands, the Japanese maple trees are just starting to show their autumn colors. He’ll be enjoying rejuvenating onsens near his campsite and the healing properties of shinrin yoku, forest bathing, while taking photos and enjoying the scenery with camera in hand and will share the odd breathtaking image every now and again. He certainly knows how to plan a photography expedition of a lifetime in style and safety. Our other photographers and support group team members are out exploring their local areas and making the most of the remaining days in 2021, and hopeful we’ll have an exciting 2022 with open borders!
Everyone at Japan Dreamscapes wishes you, your family, and friends a safe and happy holiday season. We’re all looking forward to reading your comments and messages by email and on social media, and we appreciate the many friends who have sent us 2022 calendars and season’s greetings cards. And we are looking forward to hopefully hosting once in a lifetime Japan photo tours in 2022.
Again, Happy Holidays from Japan Dreamscapes!
